Hope. Barn Owl Crescent Moon Necklace.
She is holding the Moon softly between her claws. Looking down to the unknown and...as she gets ready to let go she hopes...everything will be ok.
I think hope is such as beautiful feeling as it can be so powerful. I feel hope on my day to day life very strongly.
I wanted to translate the feeling of Hope into silver and this little Owl with the crescent moon was born.
Sometimes fear blocks us to do certain things in life and hope will always be there to give us a little push to just let go and trust ourselves. Trust that if something goes wrong you are strong enough to deal with it and learn from it and... if everything goes right you are also strong enough to continue fighting for it and also learn from your success.
I paired the little Owl with a crescent Moon. The word crescent is derived from the Latin verb "crescere" that means " to grow". Here it's shape is the one of the Waxing Crescent, meaning that in time it will grow to be a beautiful round Full Moon. A phase of expansion, change, planning for the future and trusting yourself more.
The little Owl is for me a symbol of being able to see in the dark without fear. Being your own light.
A little talisman to protect you during times of change, when you need a little push to help you take the next step or to remind you to trust yourself.
Please keep in mind that this piece is a little on the heavier side than normal pendants. The back of the moon as been carved out to control the weight.
Dimensions: 37x32 mm
Weight: 20 g
Material: Sterling Silver
The piece is cast and then assembled again by me so some slight differences may appear and are part of the process of being handmade. It's what makes the piece unique.
This listing is made to order and takes me about 4-6 weeks to make it and due to the pandemic situation sometimes more.
Please read my Policy page before purchasing so you are informed of everything HERE.
As all my jewellery I send it to the INCM which then tests the quality of the material and then Hallmarks it.
They also test for presence of lead and cadmium.
Hallmarking pieces is more expensive but it's the only way to guaranty that it's pure Sterling Silver.
The Hallmark will usually be on the back of the piece.
The patina may change over time and that is perfectly normal.
Please don't forget that I'm always available and if you have any doubts feel free to contact me any time.
